Is Technology Good Or Bad ?
Technology refers to the use of tools, machines, materials, techniques and sources of power to make work easier and more productive.
Technology has brought about efficiency and quality in the manufacturing sector. Technological advancement has reduced the risk involved in manufacturing enterprises. There has been tremendous improvement in the field of health the world over not only the average age of people has increased but the mortality rate has also declined considerably.
This could be possible only because of technological advancement in health sector. There is perhaps no field of human life which has not been affected by technology. Agriculture, industry, profession, health, education, art, political processes, recreation, religious activities and daily life activities all are under the influence of technology.
But , it is important to keep in mind that technological advancement has affected human life both positively as Well as negatively. Not only that life has become easy and comfortable, there are also indications of several threats to life and society in the future due to use/misuse of modern technology.
Our society misuses technology in many ways . From internet issues such as cyberbullying, copyright infringement, and cyberstalking to an over dependence on technology, whether it's watching too much TV or texting too much, our society has a strong relationship with technology. Technology misuse is also not limited to the home, but is found in businesses and schools as well. There different ways in which society misuses technology.
Technology isn't all bad. If it weren't for technology, we wouldn't have items such as MRI machines or other medical equipment that helps to save lives every day especially in current scenarios where the whole world is under the threat of COVID-19. Technology can be either used for a good cause or in a dangerous way. For example - People creates websites to spread information about various topics , whereas some cyber criminals create websites to con other persons . Therefore, the technology can be used either in a good way or for a bad cause, it completely depends on how the technology is been used. So, it is our responsibility to use the technology in a way which is useful for us and as well as for the society.
